Chickens For Sale
All of our chickens are hatched and carefully raised on farm as a part of our family. They are vaccinated for Marek's disease and are healthy to the best of our knowledge.
Silkies (and silkie mixes!) are known for their sweet temperament, fabulous looks, cold-tolerance and amazing brooding abilities. Please be aware that silkies become "broody" often. When this happens some of their beautiful plumage is diminished, leaving them looking a little rough around the edges. These lost feathers are regrown once they are done being broody and/or go through a molt cycle.
We care deeply about the safety and well-being of our birds. For this reason we DO NOT ship any bird for any reason. All birds must be picked up at our farm in South Lyon, Michigan. We monitor our birds very closely for any health issues, that being said, we cannot make health guarantees once the birds leave our farm. We recommend all new birds be quarantined at their new home away from all other birds for a minimum of 30 days before being introduced. Any new chickens should be introduced under supervision to minimize the risk of injury between birds.

This is the perfect way to get started with silkies or add some quality birds to your already existing flock! Skip the work of raising day-old silkies and the confusion of determining what gender they turn out to be. This starter flock include one light grey rooster and six hens (four blue hens, one black and one light grey). The hens are laying to the best of our knowledge. These cuties were all hatched on our farm. The rooster and 3 of the hens are just about to turn two years old. The other three hens just turned a year old. All of them have always been very healthy with great temperaments.
